Easter

Easter Week is an incredible week filled with special remembrances of what Jesus did for us, starting with His entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and ending with the joy-filled celebration of His resurrection on Easter. Whether you know a lot about Jesus or are just getting started, we hope that you will find time to celebrate Easter with us, in-person or online.

Palm branches waving, kids shouting "Hosanna!"; Palm Sunday is the celebration of Jesus' final entrance into the city of Jerusalem. This day marks the beginning of Jesus' final week, sometimes called "Passion Week." Join us in-person in our worship center (Traditional - 9:30, Contemporary 11:00), or one of our overflow venues (including a contemporary option at 9:30), with both indoor and outdoor options.

The bread, the cup, the final teachings; Maundy Thursday is the remembrance of Jesus' last meal with His disciples. At this dinner, Jesus exemplified service, instituted a remembrance of His sacrifice and covenant with His people, and gave a new commandment: to love one another. Join us as our Traditional music team leads this beautiful time in worship. Communion will be taken.

Infant to 5th grade Kids programming available.

The crown of thorns, the cross; Good Friday is a day to focus ourselves on what Jesus accomplished on our behalf. In this we look at the words of Jesus that help us understand what He did, why He did it, and how we can live out the forgiven life. Join our Contemporary music team as they lead this solemn and reflective time of worship. Communion will be taken.

Journey to Joy is an exciting new addition to Easter Week at South Shores Church. This interactive Easter experience will be fun for kids and adults alike. You will join us on a journey around our beautiful campus to engage with 4 different episodes from Jesus' final week. At each station there will be a story and a hands-on activity to help bring the world of the Bible into our own. At the end there will be a craft for kids so they have something to bring home. This event will not be live-streamed, however, it is all outdoors and you are free to wear a mask and distance as you like. This is an 'open house' style event, however, we'd encourage you to arrive with enough time to complete the 4 stations (about 30-40 minutes).

The empty tomb, the surprised disciples, the risen King! Easter celebrates that Jesus conquered death and those who trust in Him will do the same. Join us as we sing and pray and hear how our Unstoppable God could not be tamed by the grave, but continues to live and reign and empower His people. We are offering an additional service at 8:00 am to help keep our services from being too full. Join us in-person in our worship center (Traditional - 8:00 & 9:30, Contemporary 11:00), or one of our overflow venues (including a contemporary option at 9:30), with both indoor and outdoor options.
