CEDCAS Clinic - Lillian Solt – Costa Rica
Latin American Mission
Lillian Solt ministers at the House of Health — CEDCAS Clinic — in Los Lagos, Costa Rica. She serves in this medical/dental facility and also travels to rural projects where she assists in developing a coffee plantation and processing plant to help boost the economy in the area and encourage the people. She helps in selling their coffee and black beans to supporting churches and ministries in the States. Seeing a need, Lillian raised the money to buy cows and chickens to provide families in this impoverished community the ability to feed their families. In her church, they have found creative and practical ways to reach out to families that testify to life changing experiences from the Lord.
Lillian’s daughter, Rebecca, is active in ministry with Lillian and is in her second year of training to become a nurse. Pray the Lord will continue to provide for the needs of the clinic.
Dr. Steve & Julie Dorsey – Dominican Republic
Del Corazon De Jesucristo
Steve Dorsey went on a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 1986. He saw a need and felt the call of God upon his life to help meet that need. He returned home, entered medical school and then returned to the Dominican Republic as Dr. Steve
Dorsey. He and his wife, Julie, have dedicated their lives to developing the ministry — Del Corazon de Jesucristo — to provide hope through Jesus Christ and change lives for eternity. Their focus of ministry is evangelism through medicine, education and sports. Their purpose is to glorify God by encouraging others to live the abundant life that God has promised — a life full of love, joy and meaning through Jesus.
They ask prayer for Christian leaders to be raised up there in El Catey and for surrendered lives obedient to Christ.
Kent & Gulnara Leander – Ecuador
Kent and Gulnara are serving the Lord with Equator Ministries in Ibarra, Ecuador. They focus primarily on the needs of marriage and family. Homebuilders Groups are established in neighborhoods and counseling is offered. This gives them many good opportunities to share the love of Jesus and lead these lost ones to the Lord.
Gulnara has a Sunday School class where she teaches the basics of Christianity. They have another outreach, ‘Compassion’, which addresses the dreadful problem of abused and neglected children.
Kent’s parents are Bud & Joyce Leander of SSC. They have been able to go to Ecuador to help with projects. Kent and Gulnara have two children, Andre and Jessiel and have welcomed other children into their home.
